Renewable LPG is part of a clean, innovative pathway to a future that won't cost the Earth
GEA's Opinion Editorial in the Hobart Mercury newspaper demonstrates renewable LPG is a 'drop in' green replacement - that means no extra costs to taxpayers, homeowners, businesses or community groups using LPG. Existing cylinders, pipes and appliances require no changes. We praise the Tasmanian Government's approach as "the blueprint for other jurisdictions to follow"... [more]

Electric shock awaits Victorians switching from gas
New research shows switching from gas to high-efficiency electrical appliances achieves a modest reduction in CO2, but comes at a premium of 16-times the price of carbon abatement. Switching to cheaper, but less efficient electrical appliances, actually increases carbon emissions. With the pathway for LPG to decarbonise by 2050 clear, a rethink is needed on polices pushing people to electricity only... [more]

Gas pumps $70 billion into the Australian economy
The gas economy in Australia drives at least $70B in economic activity (3.4% of GDP), supporting over 241,600 Aussie jobs. Gas - including renewable, net zero gases - is essential for industrial heat and chemical feedstock to make the things we need for modern living. Gas will, increasingly, be called upon as a vital back-up for intermittent solar and wind power generation... [more]
